For years we have witnessed a worsening of living conditions of vulnerable populations. Awareness of global interdependence has reinforced the need for concerted responses between different countries. After months of negotiations, on 8 of September 2000, heads of state of UN members meet to agree on goals and targets towards improving the living conditions of the inhabitants of the planet. Are the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The TESE – Associação para o Desenvolvimento, believes that young students are the basis for achieving the MDGs. They are focus on a set of core competencies and resources for change: energy, creativity, mastery of new technologies and available time. As such, in partnership with associations of university students, invites students to participate in "Learning for Action: Towards the MDGs". This workshop is part of the Project Generation MDGs will enable students to meet MDG themes and forms of civic participation in order to mobilize civil society for achieving the MDGs.
